VendRoam Terms of Service
Overview
These terms cover the VendRoam app on Android (Google Play) and on iPhone (the App Store).
VendRoam enables mobile vendors to share their live location, menu, and event details with customers who have scanned their unique barcode. The platform offers no user accounts or vendor discovery marketplace. Going live requires an active paid vendor subscription (see "Vendor Subscription" below); using the app as a customer is always free.
Vendor Responsibilities
Vendors must ensure accuracy of posted information including business name, description, contact details, menu, and calendar listings. They bear full responsibility for adhering to applicable food safety, business licensing, and consumer protection regulations. The app functions solely as a communication and location tool. Vendors retain ownership of their content while granting the company rights to store and display it to followers.
Vendors may permanently delete their vendor profile and all of its associated data at any time via Settings → Danger Zone. This action is immediate, irreversible, and removes the vendor from every customer currently following it — vendors are responsible for understanding this consequence before confirming deletion.
Vendor Subscription
Going live (broadcasting your location) and keeping a shift active requires an active paid subscription — currently a single monthly plan, with a free trial period offered the first time you subscribe. It renews automatically until you cancel it. Vendor setup, menu building, calendar, and settings remain usable without a subscription, so you can build out your store before deciding to pay.
You buy the subscription in the app, through the store you installed it from: Google Play Billing on Android, or Apple In-App Purchase on iPhone. It is billed and managed entirely by that store, so pricing, trial terms, renewal, cancellation, and refunds follow Google Play's or Apple's own policies, not ours. To manage or cancel it, use Google Play (Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions) for a subscription bought on Android, or your Apple ID settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions) for one bought on iPhone. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period already paid for. Deleting your vendor doesn't cancel a subscription by itself. One subscription covers your vendor whichever device you use it on.
Customer mode has no paywall of any kind, regardless of whether a followed vendor currently has an active subscription.
Customer Experience
Location and live-tracking data shown in the app is provided by the vendor's device and may be delayed, inaccurate, or unavailable. A vendor is never shown while inside one of their private spots, and a shift may be ended automatically after a long gap with no location updates. Direct communication between customers and vendors creates a relationship between those parties only; the company assumes no responsibility for transactions, bookings, or disputes.
Customers may stop following a vendor and remove their associated data from our servers at any time via the "My Vendors" screen, or delete their data for every followed vendor at once via My Vendors → Settings → Danger Zone.
Prohibited Activities
Users must not impersonate vendors, submit false information, or disrupt app functionality.
Third-Party Dependencies
Both apps use Google Firebase (including Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging for notifications, App Check, and Crashlytics for crash reporting) and RevenueCat (our subscription management provider). The Android app also uses Google Play Services, Google Maps, Google Play Integrity, and Google Play Billing; the iPhone app also uses Apple Maps, Apple Push Notification service, App Attest, and Apple In-App Purchase. All are subject to their own separate terms. On iPhone, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.
Legal Framework
The service comes without warranties regarding location accuracy or availability. Liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, which governs these terms.
